About

At SAMA Family Services, we help children explore, learn, and grow through fun, engaging, and educational activities.”

Mission Statement

At SAMA Family Services, our mission is to empower families, educators, and dayhome providers by supporting the creation of inclusive, culturally responsive, and sustainable early childhood programs. We are committed to advancing the safety, well-being, and holistic development of every child by aligning with Alberta’s foundational principles of early childhood care.
We provide expert consultation, educator training, and program development support grounded in evidence-based practices that promote children’s physical, emotional, social, creative, and intellectual growth. Our services ensure every child receives nurturing care in environments that are developmentally appropriate, secure, and responsive to their individual needs and cultural identities.

Agency Philosophy

SAMA Family Services believes that high-quality childcare begins with a strong foundation of respect for children’s rights, educators’ expertise, and families’ unique perspectives. Our approach is rooted in Alberta’s early learning and child care principles, which emphasize the importance of responsive care, safe environments, and developmentally appropriate experiences that foster children’s overall well-being.

We recognize the critical role educators play in early childhood development and are dedicated to equipping them with the tools and training needed to meet diverse developmental needs. Our philosophy integrates neurodiversity-affirming practices, trauma-informed care, and inclusive programming to support children’s social-emotional, cognitive, physical, and creative growth.

Our community

We strive to create early learning environments that reflect the rich cultural and familial contexts of the communities we serve. Through intentional, collaborative partnerships, we nurture safe and engaging settings where every child can thrive and every educator feels supported and valued.

Our families come from nearby neighborhoods, creating a close-knit environment and strong parent partnerships. Whether we’re close to home or near the office, our day homes are ideal for busy working families and easy to get to – for pick-up and drop-off or to stop in for a visit.
